UPDATE! Joe’s marathon run in Edinburgh in May raised over £400 for Arts Without Boundaries. A huge thank you to Joe for his sterling effort and a special thank you to all those who made a donation. If you feel inspired, you can still make a donation using the CAF link below.
Here is Joe’s description of the venture before the run:
“I’m doing a thing. The thing is happening on 29th May and involves running an awfully long way around the streets of Edinburgh. I’m doing the thing to raise money for a charity that is very close to my heart – Arts Without Boundaries. It’s an amazing charity that champions inclusive arts-based activities for disabled people together with their carers and arts enthusiasts from the local community. The flagship group of Arts Without Boundaries is Band Without Boundaries, which I have been directing now for around 12 years. It is, without a doubt, among my favourite of the many musical projects I have been involved in. Anyone who has seen the band perform, been to a workshop or just been within half a mile of the incandescent glow of happiness and energy that radiates from the group whenever they are together, will know exactly why I consider them worth doing a thing for. If you would like to sponsor me to do the thing, please make a donation using their cafdonate page. It’s very easy and you can remain anonymous if you prefer. Even a couple of quid would be hugely appreciated. Please share with anyone who knows the band or just likes to do nice things for nice people.”
