How long have I been associated with the charity?

I volunteered for the charity in 2020

How am I involved in the charity:

My principal role involves raising awareness of the organisation’s work through building positive relationships with other organisations and individuals as well as exploring new fundraising opportunities. It’s all about engaging the wider community to bring mutually beneficial outcomes through organic collaboration – helping to grow our extended family!

My background:

I’ve worked in the arts sector throughout my professional career and in 1990 joined my husband in curating an historic house in Sussex, Hammerwood Park, which we open in the summer for tours and small cultural events. Since 2018 I’ve been a volunteer Development Board member at the Orpheus Centre Trust which supports young disabled adults through the performing visual arts.

What attracted me to working with Arts Without Boundaries:

My passion for the arts and the untapped potential that they have to make the world a better place! Seeing the sheer joy of the charity’s talented beneficiaries during the regular creative workshop sessions brings the realisation that the organisation, however small, is achieving big things. Improving accessibility and inclusivity by bring people together through collaborative practice inspires a truly vibrant sense of community.
